Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Drinking Water Reminder is a lifestyle and habit-support application designed to help users maintain a healthier hydration routine. It is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use the app or related website pages, how that information may be used, and what choices may be available to you.
2. Information We May Collect
Depending on the app version, features enabled, and the services used to operate the app, we may collect or process the following categories of information:
- Reminder configuration information, such as notification timing, daily schedule settings, and app preferences.
- Support information that you voluntarily provide when contacting us.
- Basic technical information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and diagnostic details.
- Crash or reliability information if diagnostics or error-reporting tools are enabled.
- Usage information if analytics features are introduced in future app versions.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Provide the app’s core reminder and hydration support functions.
- Deliver notifications and reminder scheduling selected by the user.
- Maintain performance, fix bugs, improve stability, and support future product improvements.
- Respond to support requests, security issues, or policy-related inquiries.
4. Permissions and Device Access
The app may request access to certain device capabilities only when they are needed for product functions. This may include notification permissions and background scheduling capabilities used to deliver reminders at the times selected by the user.
If a permission is not granted, some reminder-related functionality may be limited.
5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services to support diagnostics, infrastructure, analytics, customer support, or other operational functions. If such services are enabled, they may process relevant data according to their own terms and privacy documentation.
We do not state that no data is ever shared because future builds may include third-party SDKs or integrations that require updated disclosures.
6. Google Play and Data Safety Alignment
We intend to keep this Privacy Policy aligned with the disclosures submitted in Google Play Console, including the app’s Data safety section. If app behavior, SDK usage, or data handling changes, this Privacy Policy and the related Google Play disclosures should be updated before release.
7. Future Advertising and AdMob Disclosure
Drinking Water Reminder may introduce advertising in future versions of the app, including services such as Google AdMob.
If AdMob or another advertising platform is added, those services may collect or process information such as advertising identifiers, device identifiers, IP address, app interaction data, approximate location, or related ad measurement signals, depending on configuration, user region, and applicable consent requirements.
Before enabling AdMob in a production release, we intend to update this Privacy Policy, the in-app disclosures, and the Google Play Data safety information to reflect the actual advertising behavior and user choices that apply at that time.
8. Data Retention
Information may be retained only for as long as necessary to provide app functionality, maintain service quality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Locally stored reminder settings may remain on your device until the app is removed or its local data is cleared.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children where additional consent or child-specific privacy treatment is required by applicable law. If future monetization, analytics, or third-party services affect this assessment, related policies and settings should be updated accordingly.
11. Your Choices
- You may manage notification permissions through your device settings.
- You may uninstall the app or clear local data stored on your device.
- If applicable law grants you additional rights, you may contact us regarding access, correction, deletion, or other privacy-related requests.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates may be reflected through a revised effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice within the app, website, or store listing.
